Orchestra

I'm wondering if my time with orchestra is up. I'm sitting in rehearsal right now, kind of bored, not really inspired to be here. I should be counting the measures - but I'd rather wait for cues in the music. We're doing the Brahms Concerto for Violin and Cello - it's nice and tuplet/duplet. Curious how I just heard the first movement of the violin concerto yesterday, and then listened to the piano concerto last night - I'm just not a fan yet. His concertos are so weighty, with nice moments, but nothing that I immediately walk away with.

You reminded me of a comedy book I read called the Musicians Dictionary.

Interval: The time, real or imagined, between two notes. [pictured was a skeleton covered in cobwebs next to a gong]
