I saw the first episode the night before I flew back to Guatemala. Not very inspiring. Nor is it very funny either. I was laughed out after the first 10 minutes and I knew the stereotype characters as soon as they were introduced. Not very original.
The hype before it premiered on CBC was incredible. If it needed that kind of hype, I think it will bomb.
CBC is trying to make its version of CTV's Corner Gas.

I wondered about the comparison to Corner Gas as well. I give it 2 seasons.
