costa rican food.

this was good. I thought, 9 months, we should go somewhere interesting. wasn't sure what costa rican food would be like, but was interested to try. it was great. I'm not sure if I got the prime example, but there was a home grown, earthy, simple feel to this meal. finally a chile relleno I could write about. picked beets, cilantro/cabbage salad, rice with carrots and potatoes, fresh tomato sauce. it's almost like I didn't expect to find food like this in the city; like it was reserved for a tropic location, some beach side grill dotted with banana trees.

(ok. I think I'm writing so much cause it's suppertime and I haven't eaten...and I'm hungry...I'll go eat now).
