downtime.

I guess I have some downtime before we head into people's choice concert. so, maybe I should blog. this people's choice concert is similar to all the variety benefit concerts we did back at CUC. it's a good mix of styles and performers. I just hope the audience has a good time. we've got ain't no mountain, don't worry be happy, change the world, maria (west side story), and more. it will be good to have it over.

in other news, I plugged a toilet today. I won't say where. it's a truly awkward experience.

there's certainly something special about close family. it doesn't matter if they're across the continent. crawling, walking, talking, winking, gesturing - everything is something special. and selfishly more important than the child of a colleague or close friend. (maybe that's wrong.)

I guess I feel more invested. not that I send them lots of money, but my emotions are invested in them. it's like an old money relationship. I've invested my time and thoughts in the parents, and now that they've procreated, this little nephew or niece gets the extension of that attention. right?

either way- this chick's got nice eyes and I can't help but take lots of pics.

ok. I really missed this. it felt so good to get up on the board and just go. harness in and fly. ah. so good. now to find somewhere around here to windsurf besides lake michigan- cause that's not great windsurfing.
