music as education.
music as education. what does that mean? am I finally appreciating my own bachelor's degree? do I finally see the vital role educated and intentional musicians have in the world? this is a big topic, and I'm processing. the big thing is - be intentional. and avoid muzak unless it is an appeal or you're in an elevator.

when I discuss...
things with people, I will:
1. never draw non-related topics into the conversation to help bolster my side;
2. never ask questions that the other person has little chance of knowing the answer to;
3. take time to analyze the reasons someone could say what they're saying - cause I'm not that ESP or smart, and the first thing that pops into my mind may not be correct;
4. be as clear and concise as possible;
